We pride ourselves in having professional equipment with adequate backup.
It is critically important that the gear works on the day, as these special moments are usually not to be repeated!
We use a variety of Sony High Definition Video Cameras, including the A1 and V1.

With 25p progressive scan capture, photographers can mimic the shutter of film, which is often sought after for commercials and dramatic productions. Sony's progressive technique records into standard 50i streams, so no additional gear is required.
The SONY HVR-V1P features a 3CMOS ClearVid sensor system, creating sharp and rich images with natural colour reproduction sure to please even the most scrutinising eye. To top an incredible list of capabilities, it boasts a high-end Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens.
Wireless Microphones: - If you truly want to cross the threshold into professional digital video, you might be surprised to find that the key is high quality sound. Professional video production, be it television, be it film, or be it occasions such as weddings, all have one thing in common, and that is higher quality audio.
At Kiwi Magic we use Sony wireless mic's to record those all important moments!
With image stabilization now common, you might not want to bother with a tripod, but there are times you must lock that camera down, and you need a reliable tool. Extreme long shots will highlight even the tiniest hand-shake. Stationary subjects require a tripod. We use the k-pod tripod due to its rugid and flexible nature, and compatibility with the kessler crane.
We also have a miriad of other gear, enabling us to focus on the action...Having great gear enables us to do just that!
